The prestigious Prize Pigna D'Argento was awarded to the baritone Salvatore Grigoli:
‘for the constructive artistic professionalism, for the modulated and harmonious voice, for having been able to embrace the knowledge related to musical art to the profound sense of humanity ". The prize was awarded by the Academician of Sicily to the Doctor Domenica Iero.
The international award Pigna D’argento has reached its 32nd edition, founded by the Academy of Sicily chaired by Tony Marotta , it is assigned every year to Sicilian citizens who have distinguished themselves for their work helping to increase the image and prestige of our Earth.
During the evening, held at the Cantieri Culturali della Zisa in Sala de Seta, the baritone Salvatore Grigoli has ventured into his dynamic and fun Figaro of the Barbiere di Siviglia, followed by ‘Là ci darem la mano’ (Don Giovanni), in a harmonious duet with the soprano Federica Faldetta, and ending with the ‘Brindisi’( Traviata ), together with the soprano Federica Faldetta, the soprano Clara Polito and the tenor Domenico Ghegghi. All accompanied by the notes of Maestro Salvatore Scinaldi.
